Wishes of The Year of The Horse

As a Vietnamese, according to our tradition, 2026 is the Year of the Horse,
and I would like to share with everyone my poem “Wishes of the Year of the Horse”
as a token of hope and joy for this special year. I am happy to contribute it to the anniversary contest.

Horse
thunders across the sunlit fields
mane flying in the wind
my heart opens wide
like blossoms yet to bloom

This year
is not just a number
but a steady step
galloping through storms
without falling

Joy
spreads like wild meadows
flowers scattering sunlight, laughter far and wide
every voice, every heartbeat
different yet flowing together

Love, friendship, bonds of kinship
a peaceful harbor
every breath, every ray of light
though small, is enough to connect

I wish for this world
a gentle breath, a tiny spark of hope
each person a color, each soul a rhythm
together creating
a radiant rainbow
like the horse thundering free
across the vast fields
joyful
and at peace.
