Where I sought to return
the day you were longing for
echoing the lullaby
many springs have passed
many autumns have come again
my friends
my fellow team members
by your side
giggling
gurgling
the dead anniversary meal on the table
cosy

Where I sought to return
the childhood full of joy
the babbling
the ê a, the sound of laughter ripples.

Where I sought to return
Mother’s words and Father’s poems
Sister knitting me a jumper for cold days

Where I sought to return
full of happiness
Father’s hair turning grey
Mother’s hair covered in mist
Sister got married the other side of the hill crop
Brother in law was full of care
asking to stay in the family

Where I sought to return
love spreading to everyone
