Vietnam’s somber perpective facing China’s wicked plots

China was an ancient Empire.  When China is prosperous, its neighboring countries are in insecurity.   In Far Eastern Asia Korea and Vietnam were two independent countries that were submissive to China.

China lost its political influence in Korea to Japan after being defeated by the latter in 1894.  The Korean peninsula became a Japanese protectorate (1910- 1945).

China lost its political influence in Vietnam from 1884 to 1945.  Harboring regent Ton That thuyet and the Vietnamese revolutionaries such as Phan Boi Chau, Pham Hong Thai, Nguyen Hai Than, Ho Hoc Lam, Le Hong Phong, Le Hong Son, Ho Tung Mau, Truong Boi Cong, Vu Hong Khanh, Nguyen Tuong Tam (Nhat Linh)…China seemed to show its chivalry and mutual assistance.   Its afterthought was to re-establish its influence on Vietnam to turn it into a vassal country as it was in the past.

Japanese capitulation gave China a good opportunity to re-establish its political influence in Vietnam.  The Potsdam conference agreed on the temporary division of Vietnam at the 16th parallel.  The Chinese troops disarmed the Japanese troops in the Northern half.  The British troops took the surrender of Japan in the Southern half.  The Guomindang troops entered  Northern Vietnam under the command of General Lu Han.   The latter occupied the Gouverneur General’s Palace in Hanoi as if he would be Chinese Gouverneur General.  The Chinese troops failed to help Nguyen Hai Than, Vu Hong Khanh, Nguyen Tuong Tam seize power that had been grabbed by the Viet Minh on August 19, 1945 i.e five days after Japan’s surrender.

The leader of the Viet Minh (Viet Nam Doc Lap Dong Minh Hoi) was Ho Chi Minh, a Comintern agent trained in Moscow in 1924 and 1934.  In 1920, using Nguyen Ai Quac, the collective pen name of the Ngu Long in Paris after WWI (Five- Dragon Group:  Phan Chau Trinh, Phan Van Truong, Nguyen The Truyens, Nguyen Tat Thanh, Nguyen An Ninh), as code name, Nguyen Tat Thanh (future Ho Chi Minh) adhered to the French Communist Party.  Serving Borodin, a Soviet advisor to Sun Yatsen, in  China in 1925 he was known as Ly Thuy, who founded Viet Nam Thanh Nien Cach Mang Dong Chi Hoi (Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association) in 1925, then Dang Cong San Viet Nam (Viet Nam Communist Party) changed to Dang Cong San Dong Duong (Indochinese Communist Party) (February 3rd, 1930).  In 1931 he was jailed in Hong Kong.  In 1938, on Stalin’s orders, he crossed the Sino- Soviet border to join the Chinese Communists in the Yenan War Zone.  From 1938 to 1942 he bore various code names:  Ho Quang, Ong Gia Tran (Old Tran), Ong Gia Thu (Old Thu), and Ho Chi Minh.

As a Comintern agent on Chinese soil Ho Chi Minh must hide his Communist background for the  Nanjing government was fanatically anti- Communist.  He borrowed Viet Nam Doc Lap Dong Minh Hoi (Viet Minh), a political organization founded by Ho Hoc Lam in Nanjing in 1936, and the alias Ho Chi Minh from Ho Hoc Lam, who, originally from Nghe An, was a prestigious colonel of the Guomindang Army.  Ho Hoc Lam’s wife was Chinese.  Ong Gia Thu used the alias Ho Chi Minh to serve the Chongqing government as an intelligence agent recruited by general Chang Fa-kwei.  He played the same role with OSS under the code name Lucius.

The Northerners disliked the Chinese troops’ presence in Bac Bo and their grotesque behavior as well.  As a result, they were antipathic to Nguyen Hai Than, Vu Hong Khanh, Nguyen Tuong Tam…, who were strongly supported by the Guomingang troops.  Pressured by Shao Wen three of them became members of the coalition government headed by Ho Chi Minh.  They followed the Chinese troops to leave Bac Bo for China after the signing of the March 6th, 1946 preliminary.  The French pressured the Chinese to withdraw from Bac Bo in execution of the Franco- Chinese treaty signed in Chonqing on February 28, 1946.  Ho Chi Minh was severely criticized for signing the March 6th, 1946 preliminary to allow 15,000 French troop to enter Hanoi.  In reality it was the big gain for Ho.

  1.  Ho faced two enemies:  France and China.  France is less dangerous than China.   The former is 10,000 km from Vietnam.  The latter is a giant neighboring country.  The French are Whites.  They were exhausted after WWII while the Chinese are yellow- skinned people.  They are poor and ready to stay in Vietnam for ever.
  2. The withdrawal of the Chinese troops from Bac Bo was disadvantageous to Viet Nam Cach Mang Dong Minh Hoi and Viet Nam Quoc Dan Dang.  Nguyen Hai Than, Nguyen Tuong Tam, Vu Hong Khanh, Nghiem Ke To left Bac Bo.  Ho Chi Minh succeeded in eliminating his political rivals deeply influenced by the Guomindang.
  3. The Franco- Vietnamese War should be inevitable.  Vietnam yearned for independence.  France hoped to re-occupy colonies to show its greatness.  On the political stage Ho Chi Minh was the only person, who led the resistance against the French troops.

Japan signed the agreement of capitulation on USSS Missouri on September 2nd, 1945.  On that day Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence and gave birth to Viet Nam Dan Chu Cong Hoa, the first Communist Republic in Southeast Asia after WWII.  Ho Chi Minh was active in the anti- French struggle to turn Vietnam into a Communist country in the Communist block led by Stalin.  The Soviet Union had a colonial agricultural country in the Far East in its orbit.  What a surprise!  Stalin didn’t recognize either Ho Chi Minh’s government or Viet Nam Dan Chu Cong Hoa (Democratic Republic of Vietnam).  He didn’t pay attention to the anti- French resistance led by Ho from 1946 to 1950.  Why?

  1.  Stalin wasn’t interested in Vietnam because it was a far distant Asian agricultural country in which the working class was negligible.
  2. Viet nam was deeply influenced by China culturally and historically.  In Stalin’s eyes Mao Zedong was a stubborn man Sinicizing and farmerizing Marxism- Leninism.  Stalin paid interest in Eastern European countries instead of Vietnam.
  3. In 1934 France supported the adhesion of the Soviet Union to the League of Nations.  The Paris government established diplomatic ties in 1924.  In 1935 the Franco- Soviet treaty of mutual assistance was signed.  Stalin maintained the friendly diplomatic policy with France cherished by the Russian czars of the Romanov from 1892 to 1917 aiming at countering Germany.  In 1936 the Front Populaire led by Leon Blum was in power in France.  Stalin allowed the French Communist Party to supervise the Indochinese Communist Party.  In 1944 another Franco- Soviet treaty of mutual assistance was signed by George Bidault and Molotov on December 10, 1944.  The treaty was effective in 20 years.  Stalin recognized Ho’s government of resistance reluctantly.  If not, he should lose grips on Ho Chi Minh, a Comintern agent trained by Moscow.  It goes without saying Ho had his Russian name and citizenship and worked for Russian interests.

The Franco- Vietnamese broke out in 1946.  The civil war between the Nationalists and Communists resumed in China.  This time Mao Zedong prevailed over Chiang Kaishek.  Defeated by Mao, Chiang left the mainland for Taiwan.  Mao founded the People’s Republic of China.  Three months after his victory, Mao Zedong recognized  Ho Chi Minh’s government of resistance.  The People’s Republic of China helped the Viet Minh with arms, food, medicine, political and military advisors, who were present in the Viet Bac War Zone.  Strictly speaking the Chinese advisors directed the anti- French war politically and militarily.  All the members of the Indochinese Communist Party in Bac Bo and Trung Bo were pro- Chinese.  So were the Communists from the minority peoples in Bac Bo.  These peoples were originally from China (Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan).  Truong Chinh Dang Xuan Khu, Hoang Van Thu, Chu Van Tan were leaders of the early Maoists in Vietnam.  Truong Chinh became General Secretary of the Dang Lao Dong (Workers’ Party) in 1951.  Dang Lao Dong was the re-birth of the Indochinese Communist Party Ho Chi Minh pretended to dissolve in November, 1945.  Truong Chinh tried to eclipse Ho Chi Minh with the Chinese advisors’ support.  The Chinese Communists planned to use General Nguyen Son and political General Nguyen Chi Thanh to command the Viet Minh militants to minimize Ho Chi Minh and Vo Nguyen Giap’s leading roles.  Thanks to the Chinese intensive aid and advice the Viet Minh defeated the French troops in the Border Campaign in 1950 and the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in 1954.  All the political commissars in the army and the local governments during the resistance were pro- Chinese.  Some of them were members of the Chinese Communist Party.  General Nguyen Son couldn’t replace Vo Nguyen Giap.  He despised Giap’s military talents.  Ho Chi Minh, Pham Van Dong, and Vo Nguyen Giap were originally from Central Vietnam.  Ho Chi Minh was born in Nghe An; Pham Van Dong in Quang Ngai; Vo Nguyen Giap in Quang Binh.  Pham Van Dong and Vo Nguyen Giap studied in Hanoi.  They knew a lot about Bac Bo while Ho Chi Minh knew Hanoi for the first time after the Viet Minh grabbed power in the Autumn Revolution (August, 1945).

If the victory of Dien Bien Phu was the real Viet Minh’s why was Pham Van Dong’s role at the Geneva Conference dim while that of Zhou Enlai was active?  If it was Viet Minh’s victory why did Ho Chi Minh listen to Zhou Enlai to divide his country?  After the Dien Bien Phu victory Beijing feared American military intervention in Indochina.  In order to avoid the armed conflict with the US Zhou Enlai pressured Ho Chi Minh to accept Vietnam’s partition instead of shouting for joy of victory.  North Vietnam (Democratic Republic of Vietnam) became the security fence for Southern China.

There was no presence of the French in North Vietnam which welcomed Soviet and Chinese advisors.  A boss left.  Two giant bosses came.  The pictures of Ho Chi Minh, Mao Zedong, Malenkov, Lenin, Stalin, Karl Marx were seen.  Chinese appeared to be more influential than the Russians.  North Vietnam was a copy of the People’s Republic of China with the land reform, people’s tribunals, Chinese clothing, Chinese music and dance, ‘One Hundred Flowers’ etc.  Landless farmers accused landlords, scolded them before killing them by beating them to death, burying them alive  or  shooting them.  The Russians were strangers for the Northerners.  Physically they looked like the French they expelled from their country after eight years of resistance.   The Northerners seemed to be more familiar with Chinese culture than with Western culture.  However Uncle Ho was an Communist agent trained by the Russians.  He didn’t agree on the Khrushchev’s peaceful co- existence with the West and de- Stalinization.  Khrushchev, a Ukrainian, was General Secretary of the Soviet Union Communist Party.  Mao Zedong opposed Khrushchev's revisionism violently.  But Ho Chi Minh considered the Soviet Union the fortress of socialism at least in the field of science and technology.

The power conflict in North Vietnam between the pro- Chinese and pro- Soviets i.e between Truong Chinh and Ho Chi Minh, got serious in 1956.  The pro- Soviets portrayed their leader as God of Kindness, and Truong Chinh, leader of the pro- Chinese, as Lucifer on account of the bloody land reform a la Maoiste.  Truong Chinh was removed from his position as General Secretary of the Party.  From 1956 to 1960 Ho Chi Minh was President of the Lao Dong Party, President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and General Secretary of the Party.  Ho didn’t dare to offend Mao.  Therefore Truong Chinh remained the 3rd Commissioner of the Politburo after Le Duan, who replaced him as First Secretary of the Lao Dong in 1960.  The title of General Secretary disappeared from 1960 until 1976 in North Vietnam.

The power conflict between the Communist leaders in North Vietnam bore two aspects:

  1. ideological conflict between Maoism and Marxism- Leninism.
  2. power conflict between the Communist leaders from Central Vietnam and those leaders from Northern Vietnam.

In 1957  the rumor of a coup d’etat was heard when Ho Chi Minh returned to Ha Noi from a visit to the Soviet Union.  None of the Sinophiles dared to lead the coup.

Ho Chi Minh was in a difficult situation.  He didn’t like Khrushchev’s revisionism and de- Stalinization.  But he stayed loyal to the Soviet Union.  He didn’t follow Mao Zedong’s Great Leap Forward (1958) and Cultural Revolution (1966- 1976).   Ho held Truong Chinh’s position as General Secretary of the Party after the resignation of the latter.  In 1960 this position was held by Le Duan.

Le Duan, former leader of the Regional Committee in Nam Bo, was a worker of the Chemin de Fer (Rail Road).  Belonging to the working class he deserved to be the leader of the Lao Dong while Truong Chinh was born into a family of Confucian scholar and mandarin in Hanh Thien, NamDinh.

There was no general election in Vietnam.  The Communist winter cadres in the South of the 17th parallel began the aggression and destruction war by assassinating or kidnapping the communal notables and teachers serving the Saigon government.  Ho Chi Minh and Le Duan used the war of liberation of South Vietnam to hide the economic failure in North Vietnam and to unify the Maoists and the Russophiles.  Exhorting the liberation of South Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh and Le Duan fell into Mao Zedong's trap.

Mao disliked Khrushchev.  He denounced Khrushchev’ s revisionism and peaceful co- existence with the West.  He hated Khrushchev because the latter ordered the Soviet technical experts to leave the People’s Republic of China.  Khrushchev refused to help China make A bombs.

Mao disliked the US for hindering him from uniting Taiwan by force.

Ho Chi Minh and Le Duan  wished to liberate South Vietnam strongly supported by the US.  Mao wished to liberate Taiwan.  Their common enemy was the US.  The shelling of Kinmen and Matsu Islands and the start of the liberation war in South Vietnam showed that Mao Zedong and Ho Chi Minh opposed Khrushchev’s revisionism and co-existence with the West.  General Nguyen Chi Thanh was in charge of the command of the Central Office for South Viet Nam (COSVN- Trung Uong Cuc Mien Nam).

Mao’ s wicked intention  was to use the Vietnamese Communists to kill the South Vietnamese and to fight the American troops.  He didn’t want them to win the war but to bleed the US to ensure China’s peace and security so that China should become a nuclear power.  Sooner or later a united Vietnam  should be in China’s orbit.  The Vietnamese Communists killed their countrymen with enthusiasm, underwent bloodshed for coping with an economic and military super power, destroyed their country’s natural and human resources just to turn their country into a vassal country of the Soviet Union and the People’s Republic of China!  Their country was in debt.  They must be thankful to the Soviet Union and to the People’s Republic of China.  The most important mission Ho Chi Minh, Truong Chinh, Le Duan accomplished was to fight, and expel two White Empires, France and the US, from Vietnam so that China should re-establish its influence on Vietnam and pave the way for its expansion to the Southeast Asian countries.

The dream of territorial expansion of Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, Hun Jintao, Xi Jinping is unique knowing that Deng Xiaoping was Mao’ s victim during the Cultural Revolution, and that Xi Jinping disrespect Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao, his predecessors.  Under Mao Zedong’s leadership China invaded Tibet (1950).  The Sino- Indian border war broke out in 1969.  The Chinese troops attacked the Soviet troops on Damasky Island called Chen Pao by the Chinese (1969).  Under Deng Xiaoping’s leadership the Sino- Vietnamese war broke out along the Sino- Vietnamese border in 1979 and on the Spratly Islands in 1988.

From 1976 to 1986 Le Duan leaned towards the Soviet Union but the Maoists in the Vietnam Communist Party were numerous.  Truong Chinh ranked 2nd in the Politburo.  The Vietnamese Communists had their cold feet after the collapse of the Communist regime in Eastern European countries (1989) and in the Soviet Union (1991).  Their submission to Beijing got more serious after 1990.  In the eyes of the Chinese Communist leaders, Vietnam and Korea were China’ s two tributary countries in the past.  The People’s Republic of China had its important role in the Vietnam War I (1946-1954) and in the Korean War (1950- 1953).  Therefore the People’s Republic of China had its active role at the Panmunjom Conference in 1953 and Geneva Conference in 1954.  The partition of Vietnam came from Zhou Enlai’s suggestion.  The Vietnam War II took inspiration from Mao Zedong’s ideology.  Le Duan turned to the Soviet Union in the hope of getting missiles to down US bombardiers in North and South Vietnam.  Like Ho Chi Minh, Le Duan showed himself a dogmatic Communist when he considered the Soviet Union to be the fortress of socialism.  Maybe he feared Chinese expansionism and hegemonism cherished by Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping.  After the Vieto- Soviet treaty was signed in 1978 Le Duan didn’t hesitate to say: “ The East Sea isn’t the Chinese lake.”

After Le Duan’s death the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was heavily dependent on China.  The Sino- Vietnamese diplomatic relations were re- established based on Four Good and Sixteen Golden Words.  Needless to say, all the Vietnamese personnels of the Party, Central  and local governments were chosen and disposed by Beijing.  Some Chinese or Chinese Vietnamese Deputy Ministers are real heads of the ministries.  Pham Binh Minh, Minister of Foreign Affairs, doesn’t have real power but the Deputy  Minister Ho Xuan Son does.

In China the Head of the Communist Party is President of the People’s Republic of China.  It is easy for the President of the PRC to be welcome by his partner when visiting a non- Communist nation.

In Vietnam the Head of the Communist Party and the President of the SRVN are two persons.  The Head of the Party, the President and the Prime Minister watch one another.  Their conflict of power and interests nurture their obedience and loyalty to their boss in Beijing.  The choice and disposition of personnels is based on some basic criteria as the following:

  1. bad intellectuality and bad personality
  2. incapacity except for capability of carrying out cruel killing
  3. unconditional obedience to the orders from Beijing
  4. greediness and cruelty towards their countrymen

Watch the Chinese genocide and assimilation policy implemented in Tibet and Sinkiang.  On the one hand the Chinese killed the the Tibetans and the Uyghurs, Hui, Kazakhs with their weapons.  On the other hand the Han (Chinese) migrated to Sinkiang and Tibet, married the indigenous.  In a short time the Han are 41% of the total population of Sinkiang, and 50% of the Tibetan population!  The Chinese Communists tried to erase Islam in Sinkiang and Buddhism in Tibet, their cultures and customs.  Their languages are eclipsed by the mandarin.  Maoism carried out by Pol Pot, a Chinese Khmer, cost 2.5 million lives in Cambodia (30% of the total population) in 03 years (1975- 1978).

Vietnam is more populous than Tibet, Sinkiang, Inner Mongolia, Manchuria.  Vietnam was known for its anti- Chinese resistance in the past.  The 1979 and 1988 ’s Sino- Vietnamese wars were those between two Communist countries.  Beijing punished Hanoi for leaning towards the Soviet Union.  As a result, from 1990 on, the People’s Republic of China was tough to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.  Taking advantage of the Vietnamese puppet leaders, Beijing signed the 1999 and 2000’s treaties with Hanoi.  According these treaties Vietnam lost 10,000 km2 of land along the Sino- Vietnamese border, less than 50% of the Gulf of Tonkin.  The Chinese rented lands in Northern provinces of Bac Bo for forestation in 50 years.  They rented some littoral areas for pisciculture or for the building of industrial plants.  They are exploiting bauxite in Tan Rai, Lam Dong, founding Chinese cities on Vietnamese soil (Dong Do Dai Pho <Binh Duong>, Vung An <Ha Tinh> etc.).  The Vietnamese are forbidden to enter their residential quarters, industrial areas, cemeteries etc.  They consider these areas to be their concessions.  The Vietnamese government didn’t know how many Chinese came and stayed in Vietnam.  They married Vietnamese women to have Chinese Vietnamese children with Vietnamese citizenship by birth.  Sinicizing the Vietnamese isn’t difficult for they were imbued with Chinese culture for a long time.  They like to eat Chinese food, to read Chinese stories.  They seem to know Chinese history better than their country’s.  A large number of Vietnamese women got married to the Taiwanese, Chinese (Hong Kong and mainland), South Koreans.  Having foreign husbands means life improvement.  Back to history Buddhism was taught by Buddhist monks in Vietnam.  Buddhist Sutra was written in Chinese characters.  Some Chinese heroes were seen in the Mahayanist pagodas.  Guan Gong was called Phat Gia Lam (Green Robe Buddha).  New temples and pagodas are full of Chinese characters.  Foreign tourists feel that they are in China.

Although China has many local puppet leaders, it encircles and isolates Vietnam rigidly.

  1. In the North the Chinese occupy the border territory, rent lands for forestation in 50 years.  They possess less than 50% of the Gulf of Tonkin.  The minority peoples in Bac Bo are originally from China.  General Secretary Nong Duc Manh is a Tay or Choang.  He told about his origin to gain blessings from Hu Jintao.  The Choang live in the Autonomous Area in Guangxi.
  2. In the West the Chinese exploit bauxite in Tan Rai, Nhan Co; control the former Ho Chi Minh Trail that is clarified to become a highway; bring aid to Laos and Cambodia to turn them hostile to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
  3. The building of Dong Do Dai Pho (Great City of the East) in Phu Chanh, Binh Duong, aimed at controlling former War Zone C & War Zone D.  The new cemeteries built by the Chinese could be caches of weapons and confidential documents or meeting places for their clandestine activities inside Vietnam.
  4. Through the Communist leaders such as Ho Chi Minh, Truong Chinh, Le Duan, Nguyen Van Linh, Do Muoi, Le Kha Phieu, Nong Duc Manh, Nguyen Phu Trong, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Le Duc Anh, Phung Quang Thanh, Nguyen Tan Dung, Nguyen Minh Triet, Truong Tan Sang, Hoang Trung Hai, Le Hong Anh, Tran Dai Quang, Ho Xuan Son, Nguyen Sinh Hung, Nguyen Chi Vinh etc. the Chinese indoctrinated the Vietnamese people and gradually exterminated them with Confucius Institute, Maoism, intermittent wars, extermination of the intellectuals and patriots.  Huang Zhonghai (Hoang Trung Hai), a Chinese Vietnamese born in Thai Binh (Bac Bo), was Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Economy, Industries, Commerce, Natural Resources.  He allowed the Chinese to exploit gold, manganese, silver mines in Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Ha Giang.  Deputy Prime Minister in the new cabinet headed by Nguyen Xuan Phuc, he is Secretary of the Party in the capital (Hanoi).  He is believed to be the future General Secretary of the Vietnam Communist Party.

Vietnam has been in peace for 41 years.  Only Generals of Police and Security got promotion.  Le Hong Anh, a four- star General of Police and Security, was Commissioner of the Politburo.  In 2012, during his visit to Hanoi, Chinese General Secretary Xi Jinping met him before Nguyen Phu Trong.  Another four- star General of Police and Security, Tran Dai Quang, became President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (2015).  In 2015 three Generals of Police and Security became Commissioners of the Politburo.  They got promotion on account of their brutal repressionon those people who struggled for Vietnam’s sovereignty on the Parcel and Spratly Islands, who commemorated their fallen comrades in the Sino- Vietnamese wars in 1979 and 1988.  Prime Minister Phan Van Khai, a Soviet- educated, had no zeal to support the Sino- Vietnamese treaties signed in 1999 and 2000, was labeled the country’s most corrupt person.  Nguyen Tan Dung, a demagogic Prime Minister, pretended to be anti- Chinese.    He angered Xi Jinping.  Backed by Beijing Nguyen Phu Trong forced him to resign.  Preventing Dung from running for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s henchmen said that the Southerners don’t know how to argue.  Dung was the loser in the power conflict with Trong.  The Vietnamese government has pleased Beijing by lulling the youths into inactivity with the four evils (alcolhol, prostitution, gambling, opium, cocaine).    Patriotism and Sinophobia is a crime.  Cutting down trees in Hanoi and destroying the Grand Magasin Charner came from Beijing’s wish in order to destroy urban environment and to erase all the vestiges of Western culture and architecture in Vietnam.  The Vietnamese Communists celebrated their victory over the French in Dien Bien Phu in 1954 and victory over the Americans with the Ho Chi Minh Campaign in 1975 but they never talked about any Vietnamese heroes, who defeated and expelled the Chinese invaders from Vietnam.  They daren’t commemorate fallen Communist soldiers in the 1979 and 1988’s Sino- Vietnamese wars.  Relating to Western culture the quoc ngu would be replaced by the Chinese characters of the pre- colonial time according to the Chinese process of Sinizination of the Vietnamese people.  The assimilation policy was implemented parallel to the genocidal one through:

  1. food and drink with a small percentage of toxic chemical weakening human bodies.
  2. lack of life sources.  Maritime fishing has been paralyzed due to the presence of Chinese fishing boats and battleships in the East Sea.  Vietnamese fishing boats were rammed, attacked, and sunk by Chinese ships.  Fishermen were beaten.  Their catch of fish was confiscated by the Chinese.  They were released only when their relatives paid for the ransom.  In April, 2016 mass fish, shrimp, squids died along the coastal areas of Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien.  It was rumored they died of toxins of wastewater discharged from Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation.  In Nam Bo mass fresh water fish died of wastewater discharged by industrial plants.  People daren’t eat fish for fear of toxic chemicals.  This psychological consequence  damages fishing activities which seems to be paralyzed totally.  The Vietnamese eat more fish than meat, and nuoc mam is made from fish.  Now they are scared of eating poisoned fish.
  3. salinization of the Mekong River leading to the decrease of rice production.  Fresh water is necessary to agricultural activities.  The Mekong and the Red River supply the Mekong delta and the Red River delta with their fresh water.  Both rivers take sources respectively from Tibet and Yunnan.  Chinese industrial plants discharge wastewater into the Red River.  The Hanoi government agreed to allow China to build a hydroelectric dam on the Red River.  The Mekong is longer and more international than the Red River.  China built many hydroelectric dams.  Myanmar, Thailand, Laos Cambodia built theirs on the Mekong.  These dams deprive fresh water in the lower section of the Mekong.  Saline water is found 100 kilometers from the Mekong estuary.  Drought and saline water kills rice paddy.  Vietnamese agricultural activities are strangled.

In a near future rice shortage will get serious.  In the past 20 years the Vietnamese farmers left the rural ares for the cities to look for jobs in the factories.  Workers they have monthly salary.  Unlike the farmers they don’t work under the heat of sunlight.  Their income is higher than the famers’.  Living in the city they have the opportunity to get in touch with urban comforts, Western civilization, and progress of sciences and technology.  Some farmers sold their lands to the Chinese, Taiwanese, Hongkongese, Korean and Japanese companies to build industrial plants.  Farming is sacrificed.  The lands gets sterile for lack of fresh water.  The Mekong, Red River, Dong Nai, Saigon River get saline and contaminated.

In Vietnam Beijing doesn’t need a Pol Pot but a clique of Vietnamese Communist leaders to carry out the extermination of 92 million Vietnamese in a lapse of time.  It is noticeable that the Vietnamese people, intellectuals, students, youths, religious leaders  keep their golden silence as if they would agree to accept the unlucky future of their country and people silently.

Some people speaks of Chinese invasion.  Some say, according to the 1990’s Chengdu Conference, Nguyen Van Linh, Do Muoi, Pham Van Dong agreed to turn Vietnam into a province, a district of China or an Autonomous Region.

Will China invade Vietnam?

We think China doesn’t need bloodshed to invade Vietnam.  The Hanoi government has been docile and loyal to Beijing.  If the Chinese invade Vietnam they will face international denouncements and Vietnamese resistance.  Why will they invade Vietnam while they have everything there (lands, sea, forests, mineral resources, islands, China towns, Chinese from mainland, Chinese Vietnamese, Vietnamese leaders blessed by Beijing etc.)?  In 1979 they lost many lives without winning the war.  In the past 20 years they didn’t waste a bullet but the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is in their orbit.  Worse it is Sinicized.  Not many the Vietnamese realize their country’s downfall.  King An Duong Vuong tightened family alliance by marriage with his enemy, Chao To.  His son in law, Chao To’s son, lived in Au Lac’s Royal Palace and stole the magic arbalest which helped Chao To invaded Au Lac successfully.  The Chinese invaders arrived in Au Lac’s capital, Phong Khe, but King An Duong Duong didn’t know it.  His last exit was to jump into the sea to kill himself.

For lack of vigilance King An Duong Vuong sent his kingdom to diaspora.  Naive the King thought that tightening family alliance by marriage with his enemy (ChaoTo) ensured peace and friendship between two countries.  In our time the Vietnamese Communist leaders are naive to believe that they should have security and peace in their cosmopolitan life in the brotherhood world just because Vietnam and China are ruled by the Communist Party, and adopt Marxism- Leninism.  The Northern- born Communist leaders pretended to be good theoreticians.  In reality, they were naive politicians.  Regardless of time and space the rules of survival are unchanged.  They are based on STRENGTH, WISDOM, RICHNESS.  It is said in the Vietnamese saying:

Strong, you win; Weak, you lose
Smart, you live; stupid, you must die.

Stupid, greedy and credulous people are deceived by smart people.  Weak people are bullied by strong ones.  Rich people despise and bully needy ones.  These are inevitable rules of life and existence. Is it right that all the weak people are bullied or exterminated by the strong ones?- No, if they are smart, united, progressive, and know how to get protection from their allies.  Some analogies are found in the national and international scale.  Japan, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Israel, Singapore, South Korea.. are well respected in the world due to their scientific and technological development leading to their economic and financial prosperity.  These good things are the fruit of their democratic education and politico- democratic institution.

King An Duong Vuong repented of his grave mistake causing the Au Lac’s diaspora by killing himself.  The Vietnamese people spent more than 11 centuries under Chinese rule.

Ho Chi Minh, Truong Chinh, Le Duan, Nguyen Van Linh, Do Muoi, Le Kha Phieu, Nong Duc Manh, Nguyen Phu Trong volunteered to accomplish their international duty with the Vietnamese people’s blood, bone, sweat and tears , and the national resources just to  safeguard peace for the  Soviet Union and the People’s Republic of China.  Vietnam fell into the orbit of the Soviet Union and the People’s Republic of China.  Vietnam was a giant debtor; the country was divided; national resources were exhausted; the whole country is on the brink of downfall.  Ho Chi Minh and his successors had neither remorse nor guilty sense in front of their sacred national heroes, 11 million Vietnamese fallen in the past two wars and  divine rivers and mountains.  Ho Chi Minh was called Cha Gia Dan Toc (Country’s Father), Vietnam’s Washington;  Le Duan the 500 watt mantle.  Nguyen Van Linh was praised for reading and understanding Les Miserables by Victor Hugo and for loving renovation (Doi Moi).  Do Muoi’s nickname was ‘the executioner’ of the Party!  Nguyen Phu Trong was Professor teaching Marxist- Leninist philosophy he learned in the Soviet Union!  We don’t know why his nickname is Trong Lu (Trong, the Unconscious).  Le Kha Phieu has a garden of vegetables sprinkled with distilled water.  There is a big bronze drum in his palace.  Nong Duc Manh, a Tay (Choang), became ‘king’ of Vietnam.  His palace is a splendid royal one with big armchairs inlaid with gold.

Lenin used Leninized Marxism to conquer poor colonies under the rule of Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, the US…with lives of the colonial peoples under the leadership of the Comintern cadres trained and directed by Moscow such as Ho Chi Minh, Tran Phu, Nguyen Khanh Toan, Le Hog Phong, Ha Huy Tap, Duong Bach Mai, Tran Van Giau in Vietnam.

Mao Zedong and his successors such as Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao used Marxism- Leninism which was Sinicized to become Maoism to conquer Vietnam and to Sinicize the Vietnamese people without resorting to weapons and bloodshed.  They have had brilliant success since 1990.

Will Vietnam be a province, district or Autonomous Region of China after 2020?

In Far East Asia Vietnam and North Korea are dependent on China.  In the Korean War (1950- 1953) and the Vietnam War I, the People’s Republic of China played active roles at the Panmunjom Conference (1953) and Geneva Conference (1954).  Geographically speaking North Korea has common borders with China and Russia.  Kim Il Sung (1912- 1994), an adherent of the Chinese Communist Party, was a military supported by the Soviet Union to seize power in 1948.  Kim showed himself creative and independent not to use the Red flag with the hammer and sickle as the flag of the Korean Communist Party (Workers’ Party) which is the red flag with the pictures of the hammer, sickle and brush while Ho Chi Minh, Tran Phu and the Vietnamese Communist leaders tried their best to exterminate the Intellectuals, Wealthy people, Landlords, Notables (Tri, Phu, Dia, Hao).  North Korea is in starvation but it has a team of scientists and technicians, who are capable of building battle ships, submarines, A bombs, missiles etc.  North Korea’s area is 120,500 km2 with 25 million inhabitants in comparison with 330,000 km2 and 92 millions inhabitants of Vietnam.  What a surprise!  Vietnam can’t produce internationally qualified screws yet.   Putting aside our antipathy to Kim Jong Un because of his strange looking hair style and of his cruelty we see this young and obese leader has more pride and personality than the Vietnamese Communist leaders.  Kim Jong Un doesn’t consider North Korea to be a China’s vassal country.  He didn’t go to Beijing to receive blessings from Xi Jinping.  He didn’t hesitate to order the killing of his aunt’s husband, who was his mentor after his father’s death, because the latter gave China many economic privileges in North Korea.  The Chinese Communist Party wasn’t invited to participate in  the 7th Congress of the Korean Workers’ Party on May 6th, 2016.  All the Vietnamese Communist leaders from Ho Chi Minh to Nguyen Phu Trong didn’t  have such anti- Chinese acts even under Le Duan’s leadership after the fall of South Vietnam.  North Korea isolates itself.  Vietnam has diplomatic relations with many countries in the world.  Unlike Vietnam, North Korea isn’t scared of the People’s Republic of China.  Under the monarchic regime Vietnam paid tribute to Chinese suzerains but none of the Vietnamese kings came to China in person to attend Chinese emperors’s audience.  The Vietnamese feudal monarchs had more willpower than Ho Chi Minh and his successors.

In the 21st Century China won’t turn Vietnam into a colony.  Doing so it will be considered by the world community an Empire.  Its wicked plots are to give Vietnam a status which is worse than the colonial one.  If Vietnam is a Chinese colony or province or district, China will have the responsibility of feeding 92 million Vietnamese.  The colonialists must build schools, hospitals, bridges, roads, harbors, airports cemeteries etc… like the White Imperialists did in their colonies.  In mainland China some 500- 800 million Chinese live in poverty and starvation.  Beijing needs to exploit Vietnam instead of giving itself the social burden by feeding the Vietnamese!

The Chinese are present in Bac Bo (Northern Vietnam), Trung Bo (Central Vietnam) and Nam Bo (Southern Vietnam).  They have their China towns, commercial quarters, industrial plants, temples, cemeteries etc.  In reality, the Chinese enjoy their exterritoriality rights in Vietnam.  So, keeping Vietnam as an pseudo- independent country, China has more advantages:

  1.  An independent country, Vietnam is a member of UNO.  It has a vote at UNO.  That vote consolidates China’s international position.
  2. The Hanoi Communist government executes orders from Beijing.  Vietnam is a market consuming Chinese goods rejected by other countries for different reasons.  The Chinese exploit mineral resources (gold, iron, manganese, zinc, bauxite) there.  Vietnam is the balcony of the Pacific Ocean, the gateway to the Southeast Asian countries surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean.
  3. Member of UNO, Vietnam receives aids from the international community.  By fair means or foul China will take advantage of them.  Suppose Vietnam, as a member of TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership), has preferential tariffs, Chinese products should have their Made in Vietnam labels and be exported from Vietnam.  Vietnam should have bad reputation in the events of unqualified products.
  4. Worst China would turn Vietnam into a spy country serving China by supplying it with intelligence, political, economic, military, scientific and technological information taken from China’s competitive and rival countries such as the United States, Japan, India, Russia, European Union etc.   China would use the Vietnamese to organize human traffic, to sell opium, cocaine, heroin, to plant marijuana Cannabis sativa etc.  The Chinese boss keeps the earnings while his Vietnamese servants are responsible for their illegal acts in the events of arrest by the Interpol.  Some American politicians think of selling lethal weapons to the Vietnamese Communists so that they can effectively fight the Chinese Communists, who are brutally aggressive in the East Sea.  We don’t know why those politicians are optimistic.  The Vietnamese local and central governments didn’t dare to accuse the Chinese boats of attacking and sinking the Vietnamese fishing boats by saying vaguely the strange boats.  Unlike the Philippines, Vietnam didn’t bring China to the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague.  The Vietnamese Communists bought arms from India, Israel, battle ships, submarines, missiles, jet fighters from Russia.  Why didn’t they use them to defend their sea and to protect their fishermen?  Why do they need American lethal weapons?  Maybe they will use them to repress the anti- Chinese protesters.  It is possible that they will bring them to China that steals the new technology of American lethal weapons to produce new weapons which ensure China’s sovereignty on the Ox’ Tongue with efficacy.

This is the historic picture of Vietnam under the leadership of the Vietnam Communist Party in 62 years in North Vietnam and 41 years in South Vietnam.  Under the leadership of Ho Chi Minh and the Communist Party, nowadays Vietnam can’t be compared to any countries in the world.  North Korea and Cuba are two poor Communist countries which aren’t populous.  However, North Korea has many capable scientists and technical experts.  In the 2012’s London Olympic Games  North Korea received 04 gold and 02 bronze medals (weight-lifting and Judo).

Cuba has a good team of medical doctors.  Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez came to Cuba to treat his cancer while Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet and Le Duan’s second wife went to Singapore for treatment when they were sick.  Nguyen Ba Thanh went to the US, and Phung Quang Thanh to France for treatment.  In the 2012’ s London Olympic Games Cuba received 05 gold, 03 silver, and 07 bronze medals (wrestling, shooting, boxing, Taewondo, weight-lifting).

Vietnamese cities and streets aren’t so clean as those of Cambodia and Laos.  After 30 years of continual wars Vietnam has many new foreign bosses.  Vietnamese society is full of injustice with new arrivistes and governing classes.   Three million Vietnamese left their country for ever.  It’s the sombre perspective of Vietnam’s future.  Is it  Uncle Ho’s great work and  the pre- eminence of the Vietnam Communist Party?
